Housing Assistance for Returning Citizens

For individuals within 18 months of release

Stable housing is the cornerstone of successful reentry. H.A.R.C. (Housing Assistance for Returning Citizens) is designed to help individuals secure and sustain housing during the vulnerable early months after release.

What’s Included:

● Rental Support: Up to $1,000/month in rental assistance for three months. This can be used for rent, deposit, sober living, or temporary housing.

● Housing Navigation: We help locate safe, affordable options and assist with applications, lease agreements, and utilities.

● Ongoing Mentorship: One-on-one support from a peer mentor with firsthand reentry experience. Mentors provide weekly check-ins, goal tracking, and accountability.

● Stabilization Services: Financial coaching, transportation planning, emergency aid, and workshops on tenant rights.

Goal: Provide safety and stability during the most at-risk stage of reentry — reducing the likelihood of recidivism and opening the door to long-term independence.

The Reentry Blueprint

Inside-Prison Program | For individuals within 24 months of release

The Reentry Blueprint is a transformative, in-facility curriculum for people preparing to come home. This 12- to 16-week program helps participants map out their reentry step-by-step — addressing both external needs and internal healing.

Key Components:

● Real Life Mentorship: The course is led by instructors who are formerly incarcerated and have successfully reentered society. Their insight provides guidance that feels relatable and credible.

●Skill-Building Activities: Participants complete practical tasks each week — from creating a résumé to preparing a housing application and building a support network plan.

● Restorative Justice Practices: Includes exercises in self-reflection, accountability, and healing — preparing participants to reenter their communities with empathy and purpose.

● Guest Speakers & Panels: Those who’ve completed the reentry journey share real stories, challenges, and victories, offering inspiration and tactical advice.

● Focus Areas: Employment preparation, parole readiness, housing navigation, healthy relationships, and relapse prevention.

Outcomes: Graduates leave with a personal reentry plan, critical documents started, and the mindset required to thrive—not just survive.

Prevention Program — Coming Soon

Interrupting the pipeline. Empowering healthy futures.

Our upcoming Prevention program is built on a simple truth: the best way to reduce incarceration is to prevent it from happening in the first place.

This initiative will focus on supporting youth and transitional-age young adults in under-resourced communities who face the highest risk of becoming justice-involved. By meeting them where they are—with mentorship, attention, and guidance—we aim to disrupt the path toward incarceration and open doors to opportunity.

What the program will offer:

Mentorship from credible messengers who understand the pressures and choices young people face.

Life skills, conflict resolution, and emotional literacy training to help youth navigate challenges.

Community-based partnerships with schools, families, and organizations to create safe, affirming environments.

Access to wellness, career exposure, and leadership development opportunities that build confidence and purpose.

Currently in development — launching soon.

If you’d like to get involved in shaping or supporting this work, we’d love to hear from you.
